How to get to Ganas Community

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FROM MANHATTAN

Take the 1 / 9 subway train (red) to South Ferry Station.
After exiting, walk across the street to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

       - or -

Take the 4 or 5 subway train (green) to Bowling Green station.
Walk towards the Ferry Terminal (Battery Park is on your right).

The SUBWAY costs $2.25 per ride. Metrocards can be purchased
at subway booths or from machines in the stations.
(Ask the clerk for a Subway Map, too.)

The STATEN ISLAND FERRY is FREE!
It runs 24 hours a day, at least every 1/2 hour during the day,
and takes about 25 minutes to reach Staten Island.

ONCE YOU REACH THE STATEN ISLAND FERRY TERMINAL ...

TO WALK (red path on map above)
After exiting the terminal, turn left on Bay Street.

Turn right onto Victory Boulevard.

Walk 3 blocks up Victory and take the right fork at Golden Pastry Shop. You're now on Corson Avenue.

Walk 2 blocks up Corson to Westervelt Avenue. (to the stop sign)

Continue up Corson Avenue on the left sidewalk. Our houses are all the way at the top of the hill.

Look for the address - 135 - on the retaining wall on the opposite side of the street.
Walk up the the stairs and through the gate to the sliding glass doors.

You made it!

OR TAKE A CAR SERVICE
Go to Ramp F at the Ferry Terminal. Ask to go to 135 Corson Avenue.
You will probably share a car with some other riders. The cost will be $6 to $7.



FROM THE AIRPORTS

NEWARK: There is a shuttle bus which takes you to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.
From there, follow the instructions under "Public Transportation" above for taking
the 1/9 Subway train to South Ferry Station.

J.F.K.: The AirTrain will take you to the Manhattan-bound A Train (blue line).
Transfer at Broadway-Nassau St. station to the Brooklyn-bound 4 or 5 train.
Get off at Bowling Green Station and walk to Ferry. (Battery Park is on your right.)

LA GUARDIA: Take the M60 bus to 31st St. & Astoria Blvd. (Queens).
Board the W train towards Manhattan.
Transfer at 14th Street to the Brooklyn-bound 4 or 5 train.
Get off at Bowling Green Station and walk to Ferry. (Battery Park is on your right.)


BY CAR

FROM BROOKLYN & OTHER BOROUGHS

Take Verrazano Bridge, lower deck.
Stay right at tolls and take the first exit (Bay St.).
Turn left at the light (facing park). You're now on Bay St.
Continue directions from *** below.

FROM GARDEN STATE PARKWAY (From the South)

Take Perth Amboy / Staten Island / 440 exit.
Continue to Staten Island over the Outerbridge Crossing.
Take exit for the West Shore Expwy. (440).
Follow signs for 278 East / Verrazano Bridge.
Take last exit before the Verrazano Bridge (Bay St. & Lily Pond Ave.).
Turn left at the light.
Turn left at the next light (facing park). You're now on Bay St.
Continue directions from the *** below.

FROM NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE (From North or South) -

Take Exit 13 ("Verrazano Bridge"), and stay left at the Turnpike tolls.
Immediately after the tolls take the left ramp for the Goethel's Bridge.
After crossing, continue on 278 East.
Take last exit before the Verrazano Bridge (Bay St. & Lily Pond Ave.).
Turn left at the light.
Turn left at the next light (facing park). You're now on Bay St.
Continue directions from *** below.

*** AFTER YOU TURN ONTO BAY ST.
go straight for 2.4 miles.
Turn left at Victory Blvd. (a small park is on the left).
Continue up the hill. Stay left at Golden Pastry Shop.
Veer right onto Brook St. just before the gas station.
At the 3rd stop sign (Jersey St.) turn right.
Right again at the next corner, onto Corson Ave. Go up the hill.
After the top of the hill you'll see a wall along the left side of the street.
Park anywhere. Go up the stairway marked "135", and continue through the gate.
