Ganas is a wonderful place to live and work if you are interested in working cooperatively and engaging in positive problem-solving. Generally we're a group of people who like to work, we like being excited about what we do, and we like that our labor contributes directly to the well-being us, our friends and our family without exploiting people and resources in the process.
Our secondhand furniture store has been serving the local community for over 30 years. With over 10,000 square feet of display space, the store is filled with unique and hard-to-find furniture. An adjacent gallery deals in antiques and vintage collectibles. We are looking for someone with the ability to lift and move heavy furniture as needed each day to fill a full-time position. Inventory processing, customer service, and cleaning are also part of the job.
If you like reducing waste by reuse, we pick up one to two truckloads of furniture a week. Our secondhand furniture store has been serving the local community and New York City television and movie set designers for over 30 years.
If this sounds like an exciting job for you, please email us with some information about your background, your skills, your current situation and why a live/work community interests you.
